Validate for HR Administrators - Training Managers

HR common functions include staff hiring, induction and training.

Validate can be used to assess new staff candidates as a part of the selection process. Some candidates look good on paper, but don't live up to their CV. With Validate you can assess applicant's actual present day knowledge prior to making a hiring commitment.

Induction lines can be reinforced by using Validate at the tail of the process to assess information retention. General staff induction information can also be re-assessed over time to provide reinforcement.

A standard, vanilla set of assessments can be designed and enabled within the Validate configuration modules for issuance when new people join the staff team. In this way, the standard assessment requirements for induction, OHS, and other general staff policy and legal requirements such as workplace harassment, bullying, discrimination and so forth can be assessed automatically.

This provides the proof of knowledge needed to allow for requisite training to fill the knowledge gaps for the individual, and also provides the compliance evidence of their knowledge on these topics.

Training or Educational Requirements in the business arena ask the typical question "What does this staff member need to know?" Validate helps prove what they already know, and what they DON'T know, and thereby provides training managers with precise, concise information to use in design of training programs for individuals and for "common misconceptions".

The on-board reporting capabilities in the Microsoft® SQL Server configuration allows training managers to take analyse a "knowledge snapshot" of the entire target group (all staff, or any logical, operational or functional sub-group). An assessment run can be analysed to show "Which questions are commonly answered incorrectly" and then further analysed to show "Which answers do the staff think are right, but are actually wrong". When these are filtered to show "Only those answers that get a MAJORITY of incorrect hits", it provides obvious evidence of a misconception - and that needs to be addressed. (Alternatley, this can highlight if the question itself is poorly written or ambiguous…either way you benefit by finding and fixing a question, or finding a common misconception).

For example - if 85% of staff doing the OHS general safety assessment are getting question 12 wrong, and 90% choose THE SAME WRONG ANSWER, you KNOW you have a poorly crafted question, or a misconception to handle.

For managers in charge of improving training outcomes, Validate provides a gold mine of information and opportunities to maximise the training budget.
